A summer resort

In the heart of nature

‘We love to go a-wandering’ ...
The incredible beauty of the landscape, with its lush green Alpine pastures, steep slopes and colourful flower meadows, is simply wildly romantic.

Lots of fresh air and exercise in the great outdoors bring lasting benefits - and these are enhanced by a stop at the Brenneralm.

Wandern im Kaisergebirge

You can get to know the country and its people by Shanks's pony on over 700km of signed footpaths and tails.

Recreation with extra value

Away from noise and hectic of everyday life it's easy to get in tune with nature - you will notice how quickly you rediscover your innermost being.

You will be able to sleep like a log in our apartments and let yourself be woken by the first rays of sunlight, followed by a hearty breakfast if required -  and you'll be ready to start the day.

Wanderkarte Bergwelt Wilder Kaiser
One of the most attractive mountain routes is the 'Panoramaweg'  Wilder Kaiser – Brixental with views of over 70 three-thousand-metre summits.
This mountain trail (walking time approx. 8 hours) takes you via Hochbrixen - (incl. Filzalmsee) - continuing via Jochstubn to Brandstadl and on to Astberg in Going.

Sommerpanorama Kaisergebirge

The mountains forming the 'Wilder Kaiser' with its highest peak - Ellmauer Halt - at almost 2,344 m are some of Austria's most imposing peaks. In total, there are about forty summits waiting to be climbed. Austria's first revolving panoramic terrace is found on Hohe Salve. From here, with good visibility, it's possible to see as far as the Großglockner.
